Satama insources rich Internet  media competence by acquiring  The Uncles Oy

Satama acquires The Uncles Oy – one of the foremost flash production agencies in Finland – to strengthen the capabilities in rich internet media and especially competence in Macromedia Flash, Flash Lite and Flex.

Satama Interactive, a leading digital services company in Europe, is strengthening its position in the Finnish market by acquiring full ownership of the Uncles Oy, a small yet respected Finnish digital media agency. Despite of its small size, the three person team of The Uncles Oy has worked on great projects in the past for clients such as MTV3, Tekes, UIAH and Satama as well as with numerous ad agencies.

“Small well targeted acquisitions have played an important role in executing Satama’s strategy in the past couple of years. In past two years Satama has acquired a total of 11 companies in Finland, Germany and the Netherlands. We have typically integrated the small acquired businesses very fast and close to Satama, and have thus been able to leverage the businesses quickly. In the Uncles case, we believe that this acquisition will slightly boost our progress in creating even more richer and rewarding online experiences for our customers’ customers. The Uncles Oy will complete its on-going projects as planned and will continue to serve its current clients with extended resources in the future.
